How do I know if ShiftIntuit is right for me?

We offer a free initial consultation – you should be comfortable seeing any professional in this type or a similar profession. During this consultation, we can also discuss fees, scheduling and any other questions you may have.

If I become a client, how long is each session and how many sessions will I need?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length. Extended 75 and 100 minute sessions are also available. We typically meet with our clients twice during the first month, sometimes weekly for the first month. The traction recommended at the beginning is really to get you off to a great start, but our goal is for you to be self-sufficient and confident as soon as possible. Our goal is to be fired as soon as possible! Clients generally return for follow-up sessions usually every 1.5 or 3-6 months to continue their success, and personal growth and well-being.

Is the information I share with you confidential?

All sessions and any information you disclose to ShiftIntuit is considered strictly confidential. We for example, will not even confirm or deny if any client is attending sessions with us without written consent, even if a family or friends requests. There are however limits to confidentiality that legally every psychologist must abide to. We discuss those limits during our first session together.

What are your fees?

Our fee is $160 per/50 minutes. Regular sessions are booked for either 50, or 75 minutes. Note – all individual sessions are tax deductible. We accept credit cards, cash or cheques. Grants are available for some Organizational and Team sessions.

What do I do if I can’t make my appointment?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please email us at resources@shiftintuit.com or call us on 780-758-7277.  Please leave a message if we aren’t available to answer your call.

Note – we have a 24 hour notice cancellation policy, so you will be billed for missed appointments that are not cancelled within 24 hours prior to your scheduled session unless there is an emergency situation.

Psychotherapy and psychologically sound and principled consulting services are similar to Physical Therapy. Your body, just like you, your team or organization, has the resources to adapt and thrive. With our support you can do this more easily and efficiently.
